This is a great alternative to hiring me as your doula. This consultation service includes a 1-hour, in person or virtual, meeting where we develop the general outline of your birth plan together and discuss your primary questions and concerns. Additional sessions can be scheduled as needed.

Consultation - A complimentary meeting to ensure I am a compatible doula for you and any other support person who attends your birth.
Pre-Natal Preparation - I will provide holistic non-clinical prenatal care in your home tailored to your preferences, including but not limited to: helping define birth preferences; discussing options in childbirth, comfort measures and coping methods; risks/benefits of various choices and procedures; and discussing postpartum adjustment and expectations. This is the time where you, your birth partner and I can become more intimately acquainted and discuss any desires, fears, dreams, questions and any other thoughts in depth. This is your birth and my goal is to support you in making empowered, informed, evidence based choices for yourself and your family.
On Call -24 hour on call availability beginning 3 weeks before estimated due date.
Labor & Birth - I will give continuous labor support from the time I am asked to come until after the baby is born.
Back-Up - I will always arrange a qualified back-up doula to be available to you in the rare event that an emergency leaves me unable to attend your birth.
Postpartum Care - I will provide one postpartum visit, scheduled at your convenience within three weeks of the birth. This is the time for us to to debrief the birth, discuss any questions you and your partner might have, and review non-clinical breastfeeding support. I will also provide a transcript of my notes from the birth.
Advocacy- I firmly believe in your right to advocate for yourself and your family. I will support you without judgement to make sure you feel heard, confident in your ability to make informed choices and able to communicate clearly with everyone on the birth team.

Birthing with an Angel
Birthing with a doula is like birthing with an angel. At least thats what it felt going through labour and birth with Quinn. I felt a connection with Quinn after we met for the first time, at a maternity shoot she did for me. I knew then, I wanted her to be at my birth to capture the experience. I was receiving prenatal care through a birth centre, at the time my husband and I did not feel we needed a doula, but decided we wanted Quinn there to film the birth, and her being a doula was a bonus for us.
For anyone who has gone through labour or is currently pregnant, I’m sure you’ve heard that birth is an unpredictable journey and cannot be perfectly prepared for. My labour started with full force and when Quinn arrived I was in active labour. She quietly set up her cameras and then quickly realized her purpose that day was more than capturing the birth of my daughter, but to be the voice I could not speak, the birth companion I longed for and the support my husband needed. She fulfilled those needs effortlessly with her ability to observe, anticipate and serve my husband, baby and I. Quinn came prepared with physical and emotional tools and was fluent, caring, helpful and life changing. She has the ability to hold space with openness and depth that helps a woman tap into power, love and courage needed to bring life into this world.
